Staff Engineer (OpenText ExStream / xPression Consultant)

Requirements

• Experience : 5.5+ years
• Strong hands-on experience with OpenText ExStream.
• Strong hands-on experience with OpenText xPression.
• Strong experience working on Linux platforms.
• Proven experience with OpenText Content Server configuration, customization, development, and administration.
• Strong knowledge of OpenText Content Server administration and system configuration.
• Experience developing and customizing WebReports and LiveReports.
• Hands-on experience designing and developing complex workflows.
• Good knowledge of REST APIs and experience integrating OpenText solutions with external applications.
• Experience with OpenText Content Server Smart UI customization and CSUI SDK widgets.
• Experience with OpenText Content Server upgrades, patching, configuration, and maintenance.
• Knowledge of Object Import/Export functionality.
• Hands-on experience with Forms and Form Templates.
• Experience creating and configuring ActiveView and Perspective components.
• Knowledge of Categories, Volumes, and Category Definitions in Content Server.
• Experience with large-scale data and document migration.
• Knowledge of Content Server database schema and strong SQL query development and optimization skills.
• Experience with indexes, partitions, and Distributed Agent configuration.
• Knowledge of facets and facet configuration.
• Experience with JavaScript and jQuery.
• Familiarity with Apache and Tomcat web/application server configuration and management.
• Knowledge of OpenText Directory Services (OTDS) and its integration with Content Server.
• Exposure to AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, and RDS.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with the ability to diagnose complex technical and production issues.
• Experience monitoring application health, system performance, and logs in enterprise environments.
• Strong understanding of deployment, testing, defect resolution, performance tuning, and post-go-live support.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Configure, customize, and support OpenText ECM and Content Server solutions based on business and technical requirements.
• Configure and support OpenText ExStream and OpenText xPression solutions.
• Develop and customize advanced WebReports and LiveReports.
• Design, develop, and implement complex workflows within OpenText Content Server.
• Design, develop, and customize OpenText Content Server components, including Smart UI customizations.
• Develop and customize Content Server UI components using CSUI SDK widgets.
• Integrate OpenText Content Server with external applications using REST APIs.
• Perform Content Server administration activities, including system upgrades, patching, configuration, and maintenance.
• Support Object Import/Export activities within OpenText Content Server.
• Configure and manage ActiveView and Perspective components.
• Create and configure Categories, Volumes, and Category Definitions.
• Perform large-volume data and document migration activities.
• Configure and manage Forms and Form Templates.
• Configure facets and support related Content Server functionality.
• Create and manage indexes and partitions, and support Distributed Agent configuration.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries and work with the OpenText Content Server database schema.
• Work extensively in Linux environments for application support, administration, troubleshooting, and deployments.
• Work with AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, and RDS as part of OpenText solution environments.
• Support configuration and management of web and application servers, including Apache and Tomcat.
• Monitor system health, performance, application logs, and platform availability for OpenText environments.
• Troubleshoot and analyze production incidents and work closely with cross-functional IT teams for timely resolution.
• Perform defect resolution, performance tuning, system troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
• Support solution documentation, testing, deployments, and post-go-live enhancements.
• Collaborate with project and technical teams to ensure high-quality and timely delivery.
• Apply deep technical knowledge and architectural understanding of OpenText Content Server and OpenText Directory Services (OTDS).
• Develop and customize solutions using JavaScript and jQuery.
• Proactively identify and resolve potential system and performance issues.
• Provide technical support and contribute to continuous improvement of OpenText platforms and solutions.

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
