Global Partner Solution Engineer – Cisco & Splunk

Meet the Team

Splunk is growing its Global Partner Technical team and is looking for a Global Partner Solution Engineer (Partner SE) to help develop, improve, and scale the productivity and capabilities of our Global Solution Integrator (GSI) partner ecosystem across industries and business segments. In this role, you’ll work at the intersection of Cisco and Splunk technology, partners, and customers—creating scalable solutions, enabling partner-led growth, and building trusted technical relationships that drive business outcomes.

Your Impact

As a Global Partner Solution Engineer, you will be a strategic technical advisor to partners, customers, and internal sales teams. You’ll combine deep technical expertise with strong business acumen to help GSIs create new solutions and services, accelerate opportunities, expand within existing accounts, and differentiate Cisco and Splunk from the competition.

• Develop multi-year strategic plans with GSIs, integrating Cisco and Splunk technologies into differentiated solutions and service offerings.
• Lead technical engagements including executive discussions, customer workshops, demonstrations, whiteboarding sessions, and solution design activities.
• Build and mature partner technical practices and Centers of Excellence (CoEs), including enablement, certification, and activation of partner resources.
• Drive partner-led demand generation by identifying new opportunities, developing solution frameworks, and enabling cross-sell, up-sell, and competitive displacement strategies.
• Collaborate with account teams, Business Entities, product teams, and extended sales organizations to influence deal strategy, provide competitive intelligence, and translate customer and partner needs into technical requirements.
• Create scalable technical assets, demos, webinars, and other enablement content that help partners develop and deliver new solutions.
• Lead virtual technical teams through complex sales cycles, mobilizing the right resources to progress and close strategic opportunities.
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor to senior customer and partner stakeholders, shaping technology strategies and demonstrating the business value of Cisco and Splunk solutions.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of related experience, Master’s degree with 6+ years of related experience, or PhD with 3+ years of related experience.
• 5+ years of experience in a technical sales, solutions engineering, consulting, partner engineering, or related customer-facing technical role.
• Experience designing and presenting technical solutions to customers, partners, and senior stakeholders.
• Experience working across complex technology environments and translating business requirements into technical solutions.
• Ability to travel up to 40%.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Cloud, ITOps/Observability, Security, Big Data, Edge, IoT, IIoT, or closely related domains.
• Hands-on expertise in two or more technologies including Splunk SIEM/SOAR/Platform, Cisco XDR, Talos, ThousandEyes, Meraki, Splunk Observability Cloud, AppDynamics, Kubernetes, OpenTelemetry, Infrastructure as Code, Cloud Native Technologies, or Microservices Architectures.
• Experience building or maturing a technical practice, partner capability, or Center of Excellence focused on developing and scaling service offerings.
• Proven experience delivering technical workshops, webinars, demonstrations, or presentations at external industry events.
• Strong communication, presentation, influencing, and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage technical and executive stakeholders across partner and customer organizations.
