We are looking for a Senior Network Operations Engineer to join a operations team supporting enterprise hybrid cloud environments. The role focuses on technical alert handling, active network remediation, infrastructure patching, and technical incident response across firewall, switching, Azure, and VPN technologies.

This is your job

• Alert Handling: Perform 24x7 runbook-based triage, alert suppression, and Rundeck automated node remediation.
• Standard Changes: Execute VLAN configuration, port tagging/trunking, SSID/PSK updates, and device-level MACD actions.
• Security & Firewalls: Maintain FortiGate rule hygiene, purge expired policies, and apply critical firmware patches.
• Backup Management: Manage automated configuration backups, validate restore points, and execute quick change rollbacks.
• Lifecycle & Performance: Track EoS dates, update Freshservice CMDB, and monitor WAN/WLAN capacity thresholds.
• Carrier & VPN Operations: Coordinate telecom providers, manage dual-WAN failover, Fortinet Cloud VPN, and GlobalProtect.
• Coordination with Field service engineer: support remotely the Field service engineer when needed
• Cooperation and support with the Project Service team: during different tasks and changes.

Your qualifications

• Firewalls & Edge Security: Expertise in FortiGate (FG-40F/FG-50G successors), security policies, NAT, and HA setups.
• Switching Infrastructure: Hands-on experience with FortiSwitch 124F and HPE Aruba architectures (VLANs, LACP, STP).
• WAN & Hybrid Cloud: Experience with DSL/Fiber + LTE Failover setups and Azure Hub Connectivity (IPsec/ExpressRoute).
• Wireless Systems: Proficiency with Cisco Meraki and evaluation of FortiAP or alternative vendor migrations.
• Enterprise VPNs: Strong experience with Fortinet Cloud VPN and Palo Alto GlobalProtect deployments.
• Tooling & Automation: Direct experience with Rundeck, ServiceNow, Jira, and network monitoring frameworks (SNMP/Syslog).
• Operations & Processes: Senior-level experience in 24x7 Cloud/NOC environments following ITIL and strict change control routines.
