Our Client is an Indian multinational conglomerate headquartered in Mumbai. The group's business interests include metals, cement, fashion and retail, financial services, renewables, fibre, textiles, chemicals, real estate, trading, mining, and entertainment. They have a strong presence in the textile and yarn industry, known for producing high-quality viscose and blended yarns

Responsibilities

• Proven experience in forecasting, trend analysis, and extracting insights from raw data.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
• Understanding of economic factors relevant to the spinning industry is advantageous.
• Collect, clean, and analyze data related to production, inventory, quality control, and operations.
• Create and maintain dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Build and maintain reports and dashboards using advanced Excel functions (pivot tables, Power Query, macros, etc.).
• Identify trends, anomalies, and improvement opportunities through detailed data review.
• Work closely with manufacturing, supply chain, and quality teams to support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide actionable insights and present findings to management in a clear and structured format.
• Support ad hoc data requests and contribute to process optimization through data analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
• 3- 5 years of experience as a Data Analyst, preferably in the manufacturing sector.
• Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel
• Familiarity with SAP is a plus.
• Fluent in English, both verbal and written able to communicate insights and reports clearly.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Attention to detail and precision in handling data is essential.
• A collaborative attitude with the ability to work across departments.
