Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and enhance custom Appian applications supporting federal operations
- Complete development of an existing MVP while implementing new business capabilities and custom requirements
- Develop Appian process models, records, interfaces, business rules, and workflow automation solutions aligned with business needs
- Perform custom Appian development using platform best practices and low-code development principles
- Develop and support REST API integrations between Appian and enterprise applications to enable secure data exchange
- Develop and execute unit tests to validate application functionality and ensure solution quality
- Collaborate closely with functional teams during daily stand-ups and ongoing communication to refine requirements and deliver high-quality solutions
- Troubleshoot application, workflow, and integration issues while identifying opportunities to improve performance, scalability, and maintainability
- Maintain technical documentation, development artifacts, and configuration details throughout the software development lifecycle
- Ensure solutions align with security, performance, and operational requirements
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Active Secret Clearance required
- Minimum of 10+ years experience with Appian Process Automation
- Minimum of 10+ years experience with software development
- Minimum of 10+ years experience with unit testing
- Expertise designing, developing, and deploying custom Appian applications using platform best practices
- Experience developing enterprise workflow automation and case management solutions using Appian
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with functional and technical teams in an Agile environment
Preferred
- Experience supporting federal government programs or secure environments
- Experience developing Appian process models, interfaces, business rules, and workflow automation solutions
- Experience translating business requirements into scalable Appian applications
- Experience participating in Agile Scrum ceremonies and iterative software delivery
- Familiarity with enterprise system integrations and REST API development
- Appian certification(s) preferred
