About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and driven Brokerage Finance Manager to lead our Brokerage Finance and Business Intelligence function. Reporting to the Head of Procurement & Contract Management, you will lead a high-performing team delivering a critical service supporting commissioning teams, suppliers, and health partners. You will ensure accurate financial management, high-quality data insight, and continuous improvement across brokerage/payments processes across Children’s and Adults social care and Public Health.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Brokerage Finance & Business Intelligence team
  • Develop strategic direction for the service
  • Build and maintain stakeholder relationships
  • Oversee financial data accuracy and compliance
  • Lead process mapping, improvement and redesign
  • Drive continuous improvement and staff development
  • Act as the escalation point for service issues
  • Lead system development and improvements
  • Work with Procurement and Finance to ensure governance is adhered to
  • Provide reporting, insights, and respond to enquiries

  • Ability to map existing processes, develop process improvement and deliver transformation to the team and the wider Council
