Description

Captivation Software is looking for a mid level software engineer with backend Java experience building scalable REST APIs and services in Linux/Unix environments.

Requirements

Security Clearance

• Must currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph, therefore all candidates must be a U.S. citizen

Minimum Qualifications

• Fourteen (14) years experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required
• Four (4) years of SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.

Required Skills

• Strong Java/JVM, REST APIs, Spring/Spring Boot, Hibernate, relational database, Git, and Linux/Unix skills
• Agile team experience, including code reviews, debugging, problem solving, and technical collaboration

Desired Skills

• Backend architecture, distributed systems, API design, CI/CD, automated testing, TDD, NoSQL, or frontend exposure
• DevOps experience with AWS, Terraform, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, or scripting
• Experience supporting fast-paced, complex client solutions and interest in long-term growth standards

Benefits

• Annual Salary: $130,000 - $270,000 (Depends on the Years of Experience)
