Data Chapter, organized under T&D, is committed to create synergies between the data analytics functions across the bank, establish centres of excellence, shared services, and reusable data assets, as well as enhance career opportunities and the sense of community for data professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end design, development, and deployment of Gen AI and Agentic AI applications (e.g., Advisory Co-pilot and Automated Sales Surveillance) for the Investment Product & Advisory business targeting the affluent customer segment.
• Assist the Team Lead in executing the analytics roadmap and driving the wider team’s strategic capability shift toward a modern data science-oriented workforce.
• Partner with Product Heads and Advisory Sales Heads to translate business challenges into high-impact data deliverables.
• Build, fine-tune, and evaluate LLMs and autonomous AI agent workflows tailored to wealth management scenarios.
• Develop machine learning solutions to enhance customer targeting, cross-selling, and investment portfolio growth.
• Work closely with Regional teams to implement and scale enterprise AI solutions.
• Ensure all AI models, agentic workflows, and data pipelines strictly comply with the Bank’s governance and risk frameworks.
• Establish continuous evaluation frameworks and monitoring metrics to track model performance, safety, guardrails, and commercial impact.
• Champion data science best practices (MLOps, modular coding, version control) and mentor team members to upskill their machine learning and AI modeling capabilities.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of hands-on data science and advanced analytics experience within financial services, fintech, or wealth management.
• Proven hands-on experience in building and deploying Gen AI, LLM applications, or Agentic AI frameworks in a production environment.
• High proficiency in Python/PySpark, and Cloud Computing Platforms (GCP strongly preferred).
• Strong technical foundation in AI (machine learning, NLP, deep learning, and statistical modeling).
• Experience in enterprise BI tools (Qlik Sense is a plus).
• Working domain knowledge of consumer investment products (Equities, Unit Trusts, FX, Fixed Income, Wealth Lending) and frontline advisory sales workflows.
• Proven track record of supporting technological transformations, promoting modern DS tools, and upskilling peers.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to translate technical AI concepts into actionable productivity gains for business stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional regional tech partners and local business leaders.
• Fluency in English and Cantonese.
