As part of the Metro TLV Management Team, you will report to the TLV Metro Project Director. You will lead and manage the Technical “Metav” team (Tel Aviv Metro Network Manager), ensuring that budget, quality, and schedule objectives are met. You will be supported by the Regional Technical Department, as well as by the Group’s back-office Service Line experts.
Based in Tel Aviv area, together with the project director and the deputy project director, you will be part of the management team of our Tel Aviv Metro Network Manager with 100 staff. You will coordinate the technical departments of METAV including several teams in civil, systems, environment, digital and Operation and Maintenance .
your activities will include but not be limited to:
- Lead the Consultant’s Design Team and coordinate all activities of the Design Team’s members.
- Promote and facilitate the Integration activities between the various disciplines.
- Provide sound, justified and impartial information and guidance to the Client on all technical aspects of the Programme;
- Pilot the 3 Line Managers (Designers) during the Development Phase (which covers initial, intermediate and reference design), participate actively to meetings with the Owner and the Line Managers, and then the Contractors.
- Together with the deputy Project Director, approve the Design review sheets of the deliverables produced by the lines covering Technical and Design, and other related subjects such as GW approval
- Approve and follow up the RFI’s answers and the corresponding owner policies and MDSM updates
- Manage the remote Egis and external international sub-contractors, including their subcontract agreement and their invoices
- Manage the Engineering leaders of Metav (5-10 staff members) and coordinate with Project control and procurement teams.
To be considered for this position as Engineering Director we have the following requirements:
- 2 master’s degree in civil engineering,
- More than thirty five (35) years of experience in the design and project management of transportation project (including 14 years as Project manager of rail projects and metro line projects).
- Experience in two (2) metro projects in design phase. Eole and L15 East
- Previous experience managing a team of engineers up to 200.
- Able to work in a collaborative manner, providing expert advice within a complex and multi-faceted project environment with multiple stakeholders.
- Fluent in written and spoken English and French .
