About the Role
Reporting to the AI Program Director, the AI Delivery Lead (Senior Project Manager) will lead the delivery of a portfolio of transformative AI initiatives. In this 2-year fixed-term opportunity, you will drive complex projects that leverage artificial intelligence, automation and emerging technologies to deliver meaningful outcomes across the University. Working closely with senior leaders, technical specialists and business stakeholders, you'll play a key role in turning strategic AI ambitions into reality.
About the Team
The role sits within the Financial Services & Enterprise Data Division, a collaborative and data-driven team that enables the University's academic, research and community objectives. The AI Program is leading the adoption of innovative technologies across teaching, research and corporate services, partnering closely with ICT, Enterprise Architecture, Data & Analytics, Information Security and key business stakeholders to deliver impactful outcomes. As part of this team, you'll work across a diverse portfolio of AI initiatives, helping drive the successful delivery of projects that support the University's strategic priorities.
What You’ll Bring
We're looking for a proactive and technically capable delivery professional who can successfully lead complex projects and build strong relationships across a diverse stakeholder group.
- Proven experience delivering large-scale technology, digital transformation or AI-related projects.
- Strong project and program management skills, including governance, risk, budget and schedule management.
- Demonstrated ability to engage, influence and collaborate with senior leaders, technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and driving outcomes in complex environments.
- Technical understanding of AI, automation, data platforms, cloud technologies and enterprise systems.
- Ability to work effectively with architects, developers, data specialists and information security teams to deliver technology solutions.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Experience applying project delivery methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall or hybrid approaches.
- Tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Information Technology, Business or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Role Details
- Employment type: Fixed-term, Full-time (2-year contract)
- Level 8/9: $123,283 - $152,959 + 17% Superannuation
