About the Role
This is a founding engineering position at a YC-backed enterprise AI startup building agents that automate the connection, migration, and implementation of complex enterprise systems. You will join a small team at a stage where your decisions shape the architecture, and you will own critical infrastructure that runs directly against production ERP and financial systems at real companies.
What You'll Do
- Design and build the agent core: the planning, execution, and self-healing loops that turn natural-language integration descriptions into production-grade data movement.
- Own systems end to end, including connectors, the transformation engine, execution runtime, the web app, the SDK, and the MCP server.
- Pick up the highest-leverage problem each week and ship it, without a ticket queue or a fully formed spec.
- Work directly with customers when technical issues or feature requests touch your work, turning those conversations into product insight.
- Set the engineering bar and coding patterns that the next ten engineers will follow.
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of experience building and operating production software systems.
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript with demonstrated experience building full-stack applications end to end.
- Proficiency in at least one additional language such as Python, Go, or C.
- Experience integrating with or implementing enterprise systems such as ERP, CRM, or data warehouse platforms.
- Solid technical judgment on reliability, scalability, and failure modes for critical infrastructure.
- Experience working directly with customers on technical implementations or support.
- Experience building or contributing meaningfully to open source projects.
- Strong CS fundamentals, whether from a top technical university or demonstrated through competitive programming or strong internships.
- Background in an early-stage startup or similarly high-growth, high-ownership environment.
- Experience with data migration, ETL, or system integration is a plus.
- Familiarity with LLM or agent tooling is a plus.
- Clear, confident communication, both with teammates and with customers.
