Responsibilities

  • Build, maintain, and customize WordPress sites using SiteOrigin Page Builder and SiteOrigin CSS
  • Customize Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Translate design mockups into pixel-accurate, responsive page layouts
  • Evaluate, configure, and customize plugins
  • Write custom overrides to extend plugin/theme functionality
  • Partner with the creative team for technical feasibility
  • Partner with SEO strategists for on-page optimizations
  • Partner with backend engineers on API integrations
  • Conduct cross-browser/device QA
  • Optimize assets for Google PageSpeed/Lighthouse targets
  • Apply core updates across staging and production environments

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience building and customizing WordPress sites
  • Hands-on experience using SiteOrigin Page Builder
  • Proficiency with Shopify theme development
  • Experience with Liquid templating
  • Experience with the Shopify admin ecosystem
  • Strong command of HTML5
  • Strong command of CSS3
  • Strong command of JavaScript (vanilla JS)
  • Experience customizing plugins
  • Experience writing CSS/JS overrides that survive updates
  • Working knowledge of SEO best practices as they apply to web development
  • Comfort with Git for version control
  • Comfort with collaborative development
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Commitment to pixel-level accuracy

  • Experience with Elementor/Divi
  • Experience with Shopify's Dawn theme
  • Experience with REST APIs
  • Experience with WCAG accessibility standards
  • jQuery a plus
