Senior Lead Software Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Lead Software Engineer to join our team. This is an amazing opportunity within Clarivate to support the IP segment team developing CompuMark a leading provider of trademark research, monitoring, and brand protection solutions.

­About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments

• Minimum 7 years of experience in software development including minimum of 7 years of advance experience in Java 11+, Spring Boot 2.0+, JPA, JMS, Angular and TypeScript, minimum of 5 years of experience in working with automated testing frameworks, minimum of 3 years of experience in deploying, managing, and scaling containerized applications in any major cloud platforms and minimum 1 year of experience using AI coding assistants effectively throughout the software development lifecycle, including code generation, refactoring, debugging, testing, and documentation writing.
• Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience
• Proficiency in English

It would be great if you also have . . .

• Knowledge about messaging systems like AWS SQS, Websphere MQ or others.
• Knowledge about CI/CD frameworks (Jenkins/Teamcity) for improving our feature time to market
• Any experience working with AI or data science, e.g. using Chatbot APIs, interacting with AI models, etc.

What will you be doing in this role?

• Lead project teams and provide technical expertise for various engineering projects.
• Apply technical knowledge to development of products and processes and identify additional value-added opportunities related to specific projects.
• Propose, develop, review, and revise new procedures as needed for the continuing development of high-quality systems. Define architecture of software solution.
• Provide technical mentoring to other team members.
• Execute department processes and policies. Participate in the creation, implementation, and administration of departmental policies, procedures, and work instructions.
• Provide innovative suggestions and recommendations for new projects based upon technical and product knowledge.
• Maintain knowledge of state-of-the-art technology to incorporate new developments into products.
• Propose technical advances and evaluate new hardware / software for company use.

Our team is spread across multiple locations worldwide, and in this role, you will collaborate closely with colleagues across the United States and Europe time zones.

Hours of Work

This is a permanent full-time position, with core engagement hours within CET time zone. This is a hybrid position; you will be expected to work from our Belgrade office 3 days every other week.
