Data Governance Intern

As a Data Governance Intern at INNIO, you would support data governance activities across the Data Platform by helping define and enforce data contracts between data providers and consumers. The position involves conducting business interviews with stakeholders to understand business and technical expectations, limitations, and data product requirements. It also includes collaborating with Data Engineering and Data Governance teams to prepare data contracts, align on service level agreements, support the sign-off process, and contribute to incident handling and root cause follow-up activities.

Your responsibilities

• Conducting business interviews with data providers and consumers of the Data Platform to nail down both business and technical expectations and limitations around ingestion and consumption ends of relevant data products
• Work together with the Data Engineering and Data Governance functions to prepare the relevant data contracts discussing the relevant Service Level Agreements atop of the product specifications
• Facilitate the signoff process of mentioned contracts
• Assisting the Data Engineering and Data Governance functions in handling incidents and follow up root cause analyses

Your profile

• Ongoing Bachelor or Master studies in Business, STEM or any related field at a Hungarian University.
• Availability to work 30 hours / week
• Fluency in English (written and spoken); German is not required, but useful
• Interest or experience in/around data governance or quality
• Good communication skills and confidence in reaching out to business or technical stakeholders proactively
• Self-drive in getting tasks done and following up with peers when in doubt, while using (but not abusing) AI technologies
• Openness to new technologies and methodologies, willingness to learn and adapt
