Job Description
Position Overview
As a Manager on the Strategy team, you will lead high-priority strategic initiatives across the company and help inform enterprise-level decision-making. You will work across functions to evaluate growth opportunities, solve complex business problems, identify value-creation opportunities, and develop actionable recommendations for senior leadership.
We are looking for a strategic thinker who moves comfortably between high-level framing and detailed analysis, thrives in ambiguity, and brings structure to evolving business questions. Success in this role requires a deeply collaborative approach, along with strong business judgment, curiosity, a bias toward action, and the ability to influence without authority.
Responsibilities
- Conduct market, policy, competitive, and financial analyses, including business case development, to inform strategy, investment priorities, and business performance.
- Ideate and pitch new growth opportunities, business models, strategic partnerships, and operational improvement initiatives.
- Lead new technology diligence and coordination amongst SMEs across the organization to synthesize and deliver new business entry recommendations.
- Support annual strategic planning processes, including development of strategic priorities, key initiatives, and monitoring metrics.
- Drive cross-functional strategic projects that address important business questions. This includes coordinating across teams, tracking progress, and resolving issues.
- Structure ambiguous problems into clear workstreams, identify key drivers, and synthesize findings into practical recommendations.
- Develop presentations, memos, and executive-ready materials that clearly communicate insights, tradeoffs, and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Contribute to a high-performing team culture through strong ownership, sound judgment, and effective collaboration.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, economics, engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in the electricity sector or digital infrastructure.
- 8+ years of relevant experience in strategy, corporate development, management consulting, investment banking, business development or a similar role.
- Demonstrated analytical skills, including financial modeling, Excel, and data visualization.
- Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to break down complex and ambiguous issues into structured analyses and recommendations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to distill complex ideas and present to executive-level audiences.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build credibility across teams and functions.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to connect detailed analysis to broader business implications.
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to operate as a self-starter with a high degree of ownership and accountability.
- Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting senior executives on strategic planning, board materials, or major cross-functional initiatives.
- Proficiency in (or demonstrated aptitude to learn and apply) technology and visualization tools, including GenAI/LLMs, VBA, Python, and PowerBI.
