  • Review customer RFQs, specifications, contracts, and technical requirements to develop compliant and competitive proposals.
  • Coordinate with engineering, operations, supply chain, legal, and project execution teams to define scope, pricing, schedules, and project risks.
  • Develop proposal cost estimates, pricing models, commercial offers, and executive summaries.
  • Prepare bid documentation, exceptions and clarifications, scope descriptions, assumptions, and risk assessments.
  • Support contract negotiations and customer discussions during the proposal phase.
  • Maintain proposal records, opportunity data, and supporting documentation within Salesforce and other business systems.
  • Participate in customer meetings, bid reviews, and internal risk review processes.
  • Support development of long-term service agreements, lifecycle management solutions, modernization projects, and strategic spare parts programs.
  • Drive continuous improvement of proposal tools, templates, processes, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with sales and business development teams to identify opportunities and develop winning strategies.

Your Background

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Business, Project Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in proposal development, estimating, sales support, project management, or contract administration.
  • Experience within power systems, utility automation, SCADA, telecommunications, protection and control, or substation automation industries preferred.
  • Understanding of commercial and contractual terms, including Incoterms, payment terms, warranties, and project risk management.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience developing project cost estimates and pricing models.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present information clearly to customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple pursuits simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with CRM and ERP systems such as Salesforce, SAP, or similar platforms is preferred.
  • Knowledge of utility industry standards, substation automation systems, cybersecurity solutions, or SCADA systems is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and analyze electrical single-line diagrams (SLDs), network architecture drawings, protection and control schematics, and communication diagrams.
  • Experience developing complete Bills of Materials (BOMs) for Substation Automation, SCADA, RTU, Protection & Control, Communications, and Cybersecurity solutions.
  • Ability to translate customer technical requirements into accurate system configurations, including servers, networking equipment, RTUs, HMIs, engineering workstations, time synchronization equipment, cybersecurity appliances, and associated software licenses.
  • Strong understanding of utility substation architectures, IEC 61850, DNP3, Modbus, ICCP, and related communications protocols.
  • Experience identifying scope gaps, technical risks, and assumptions during proposal development.
