DevOps Software Developer Consultant

Netcompany is looking for a DevOps Software Developer Consultant to join us on a permanent basis to drive forward our delivery and support capability and deliver the optimum solutions to our clients. Based in Leeds or London you'll be joining a forward-thinking organisation that puts your personal development first.

Key Skills

Essential

• The desire to go beyond 'just programming'.
• 2+ years experience in Software Development using C# / Java or similar Object-Oriented language.
• A "self-starter" who can learn new programming languages and tools quickly.
• The ability to effectively estimate work and produce deliverables on time.
• Knowledge of specific technologies and methods within modern system development
• Ability to plan and organize one's own work. Accurately report issues and progress
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and to use own initiative
• Ability to identify areas for own personal development
• An understanding of agile tools and techniques
• Excellent communication skills
• Must be willing to do UK-based travel for projects
• Must have the right to work in the UK
• Ability to create and maintain CI/CD Deployment pipelines
• Good troubleshooting / problem-solving skills

Desirable

• Client-facing experience.
• Familiarity with Azure Dev Ops or similar.
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure/environments (Azure /AWS).
• Understanding of Containerisation, Kubernetes / Docker.
• Automation testing knowledge.

Qualifications

• A graduate of Computer Science BSc or a similar discipline
