Responsibilities
- Manage schema conversion, object validation, and post-migration reconciliation
- Support AWS DMS configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting
- Conduct migration validation activities
- Develop and execute SQL and shell automation scripts
- Create automated workflows for identifying missing database objects
- Coordinate migration cutover activities
- Author migration procedures, validation checklists, and documentation
- Design, develop, test, and maintain software solutions
- Build and enhance backend services, APIs, and application components
- Develop application logic in Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, or React
- Collaborate with technical leads, architects, and stakeholders
- Participate in iterative software development activities
- Troubleshoot and optimize application performance and database interaction
- Support application modernization efforts
- Assist with application smoke testing and integration testing
- Contribute to CI/CD pipeline activities
- Work with cloud and DevOps engineers to support deployments
- Assist with infrastructure-as-code and environment configuration
Requirements
- 4+ years of professional experience in software engineering, full-stack development, backend development, or database development
- Experience developing software in Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, or similar
- Experience developing backend services, APIs, data access layers, or application components that interact with relational databases
- SQL, relational database design, schema development, and database object management
- Developing DDL scripts, migration scripts, validation scripts, and database automation scripts
- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, preferably hosted in AWS RDS
- Familiarity with AWS Database Migration Service
- Familiarity with Oracle
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with Git
- Familiarity with Bash
- Familiarity with DevSecOps tools
- Agile software development methodology and team practices
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Security+ certification (or willingness to obtain one)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Eligible for work without a visa sponsorship
