Responsibilities
- Build scalable, reliable data systems while maintaining SLOs
- Partner with other internal teams to deliver high-impact data solutions
- Support self-service tooling and a data-driven culture
- Contribute to the technical strategy and operations of Pantheon's data platform
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies in data engineering
- Continuously improve engineering excellence by implementing best practices
Requirements
- 3-5+ years of experience building production services and features
- Experience with Data Engineering
- Ability to build maintainable components in Python
- Ability to build maintainable components in Go
- Comfortable using SQL with relational databases
- Experience with MySQL
- Experience with Postgres
- Experience with data warehouses
- Experience with Snowflake
- Experience with BigQuery
- Experience working with containerization
- Experience with Docker
- Experience with OCI
- Experience with Terraform
- Experience with Kubernetes (K8s)
- Familiarity with modern data stacks
- Experience with dbt
- Experience with Airflow
- Experience with Looker
- Understanding of Distributed Data Systems
- Clear grasp of trade-offs when designing solutions for high throughput and low latency
- Strong Written and Verbal Communication Skills
- Understanding of how to integrate automated test coverage and validation into a deployment pipeline
Preferred
- Experience building data pipelines for AI and Machine Learning
