DB2,Native-SP,COBOL-DB2 Developer

We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer with strong expertise in DB2, Native Stored Procedures, and COBOL-DB2 development. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in developing, enhancing, and supporting business-critical applications in a Mainframe environment. The role involves application development, performance optimization, production support, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Mainframe applications using COBOL and DB2.
• Develop and enhance DB2 Native Stored Procedures for business requirements.
• Analyze functional and technical specifications and provide optimal solutions.
• Write efficient SQL queries and optimize DB2 database performance.
• Perform impact analysis, code reviews, unit testing, and defect resolution.
• Support application modernization and enhancement initiatives.
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions.
• Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and testing teams.
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, security guidelines, and best practices.
• Participate in release deployments and post-production support activities.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in COBOL-DB2 application development.
• Hands-on expertise in DB2 Native Stored Procedures.
• Good knowledge of JCL, VSAM, and Mainframe Utilities.
• Strong SQL and DB2 database concepts.
• Experience in application debugging and performance tuning.
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
