DE&A - Core - Cloud Data Engineering - Databricks

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Senior Developer to work on our retail client's projects. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in developing and supporting our client's applications, ensuring smooth post-production operations. With a focus on Databricks and SQL, you will be responsible for enhancing application performance and delivering high-quality solutions. This role offers an opportunity to work directly with the client, understand their unique requirements, and provide tailored solutions.

• Develop and maintain efficient, scalable, and secure data pipelines using Databricks and SQL.
• Collaborate with the client to gather and analyze requirements, ensuring a deep understanding of their needs.
• Implement and optimize data processing and transformation processes using SSIS and Databricks.
• Ensure data integrity and quality by implementing robust data validation techniques.
• Perform application performance tuning and optimization to enhance overall system efficiency.
• Provide post-production support and promptly address any issues or bugs that arise.
• Work closely with the development team to integrate data engineering solutions into the overall application architecture.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies, especially in the retail domain.
• Document and maintain clear and concise technical documentation for future reference.
• Actively participate in knowledge-sharing sessions and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
• 6 to 8 years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on SQL, SSIS, and Databricks.
• Proven experience in retail client engagement and a track record of delivering successful projects.
• Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail and a results-driven approach.
• Proficiency in data modeling, database design, and data warehousing concepts.
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms and an understanding of cloud computing principles.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and a willingness to adapt to changing project requirements.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with clients and team members.
• A proactive and self-motivated attitude, with a passion for continuous learning and improvement.
• A relevant bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
