About Alta Resource Technologies

Alta Resource Technologies is a pioneer in the emerging field of “precision mining” — a new approach to sourcing minerals that emphasizes accuracy, low impact, and full value capture. Our groundbreaking processing platform uses engineered proteins to separate rare earth elements and other strategic materials with unprecedented selectivity.

By tailoring these proteins to bind selectively to individual elements, even at low concentrations in complex mixtures, Alta is positioned to expand access to the building blocks of advanced electronics, energy systems, and defense technologies. At a time when control of rare earths and critical minerals has become a geopolitical weapon, Alta offers a rapid path to supply-chain resilience without the high costs, inefficiencies, and environmental and health risks of traditional processing technologies.
