Is this job posting real?

Paste a link. We check how long it has been open, how often the role has been reposted, and whether that employer ever closes one — measured from their own board, not guessed from the wording.

What we check

Days open

Against the 42–44 days an average US role takes to fill. Past 180 is its own verdict.

Reposts

How many times this employer has posted the same role in the last year.

The employer's record

What share of their openings sit past 60 days — and whether they close roles at all.

Pipeline wording

“Talent pool”, “general application”, “future opportunities”. A posting that says it is not a real opening.

Why this is different

Other checkers read the text of one posting and judge it on its wording — whether the responsibilities sound vague, whether a salary is missing. That is a guess about a document.

We watched it. We crawl employers’ own applicant tracking systems every day, so we can tell you how long a role has been open, that this employer has posted it six times in a year, and that we checked their board this morning. Every part of that is something you can verify yourself.

Questions

Which job sites does this work on?
Links from the applicant tracking systems we crawl — Greenhouse, Lever, Workday, Ashby, SmartRecruiters and others. If we have not seen the posting we say so rather than guessing.
Why did it say you have not seen my posting?
We crawl employers' own applicant tracking systems rather than aggregators, so a link from a site that reposts other people's listings often will not match. Try finding the same role on the company's own careers page.
Does a ghost-risk result mean the company is lying?
No. We report measured facts about a posting's history — how long it has been open, how often it has been reposted. A role can sit open for months because of a hiring freeze or a slow approval, with nobody intending to mislead anyone. What it does mean is that applying may not get you a reply.
Is it free?
Yes, and no account is needed. A paid plan filters the whole board by hiring signal, but checking a single posting is free.
