Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Database Engineer / Oracle DBA for our client to support mission-critical systems in the Intelligence Community. The candidate will provide expertise in database engineering, administration, performance optimization, security, and high availability within a complex distributed environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, and maintain Oracle and relational/NoSQL databases.
• Perform database migration, replication, backup and recovery, user administration, and performance tuning.
• Develop SQL/PLSQL queries, scripts, database schemas, and data-loading solutions.
• Troubleshoot database issues and implement high-availability and distributed data solutions.
• Support system architecture, requirements analysis, capacity planning, and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with engineering, security, testing, and Agile teams.
• Participate in Agile planning activities, including quarterly PI Planning sessions as required.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of database administration or engineering experience.
• Strong expertise in Oracle Database, SQL, and PL/SQL.
• Experience with database migration, replication, backup/recovery, and performance tuning.
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL and/or NoSQL databases.
• Scripting experience with Bash/Linux Shell, Python, Perl, or JavaScript.
• Knowledge of Java and database security best practices.
• Mandatory: TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph through the MD Customer; last poly within 6 years, no CCAs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline; four additional years of DBA experience may substitute.
• Experience with SAFe and Agile methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with MongoDB and Cassandra.
• Experience supporting large-scale, distributed government systems.
