Senior Software Engineer – Java & JavaScript

We are looking for an experienced **Senior Software Engineer** for a long-term consulting assignment with an international company in Malmö.

You will join a highly skilled engineering environment and work on the development and evolution of modern, large-scale software solutions. The role requires strong hands-on experience in both **Java and JavaScript**.

## The Assignment

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will work closely with experienced engineers and cross-functional teams in an international environment.

Your responsibilities will include

• Design, develop and maintain high-quality software solutions
• Develop backend services and APIs using **Java**
• Develop web-based functionality using **JavaScript**
• Work with integrations and distributed systems
• Contribute to technical design and architecture discussions
• Write clean, maintainable and well-tested code
• Troubleshoot and solve complex technical problems
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices
• Work closely with other engineers and stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle
• Take ownership of solutions from design through implementation and delivery

## Must-Have Requirements

• Strong professional experience with **Java**
• Strong professional experience with **JavaScript**
• Experience with backend and web application development
• Experience developing and integrating REST APIs
• Good understanding of distributed systems and modern software architecture
• Experience with automated testing
• Experience with Git and CI/CD
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles and clean code
• Experience working in Agile development environments
• Professional proficiency in English

**Please note

Strong hands-on experience in both Java and JavaScript is mandatory for this assignment.**
