Infrastructure Team Lead

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage the infrastructure team.
• Assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure timely delivery of projects.
• Provide technical guidance and support to team members.
• Design, implement, and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure.
• Manage routers, switches, firewalls, and network security.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues proactively.
• Ensure network scalability and reliability.
• Plan, deploy, and optimize enterprise WiFi networks.
• Conduct site surveys and ensure proper coverage and capacity.
• Manage wireless controllers, access points, and security protocols.
• Troubleshoot connectivity and performance issues.
• Implement and manage infrastructure automation (e.g., scripting, orchestration tools).
• Improve operational efficiency through automation of routine tasks.
• Integrate automation with monitoring and alerting systems.
• Ensure infrastructure complies with security standards and policies.
• Implement network security best practices (VPNs, firewalls, access control).
• Conduct regular audits and risk assessments.
• Oversee daily infrastructure operations and incident management.
• Ensure system uptime, backup, and disaster recovery readiness.
• Coordinate with vendors and external partners when needed.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 5–8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Strong experience in networking (TCP/IP, routing, switching).
• Hands-on experience with enterprise WiFi solutions.
• Experience with automation tools (e.g., scripting, Ansible, Python, etc.).
• Knowledge of firewalls, VPNs, and network security.

Preferred Certifications

• CCNA / CCNP
• MCITP
