Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• ServiceNow SAM Testing
• Review publisher analysis, user stories, and business requirements to prepare detailed test scenarios and test cases.
• Validate ServiceNow SAM implementations, including software entitlements, license consumption, available rights, license requirements, and compliance calculations.
• Test different licensing models, such as User Subscription and Resource Consumption, along with custom SKUs created for specific publisher requirements.
• Verify calculation logic, including contract term calculations, billing frequency, unit pricing, weighted average pricing, and ratchet behaviour.
• Test server-side components such as Business Rules, Script Includes, Scheduled Jobs, audit scripts, and data-fix scripts.
• Reconcile dashboard values against report tables and source records to ensure data accuracy across different software publishers.
• Validate data received through vendor exports and administrative API extracts, including deduplication and filtering based on site and contract line.
• Perform functional, regression, and UAT testing across ServiceNow development, test, and production instances.
• Test Automation
• Extend existing SAM test automation frameworks and develop automated test scripts based on the agreed automation roadmap.
• Build reusable regression test suites for recurring software publisher scenarios to support faster and consistent testing.
• Use ServiceNow Automated Test Framework (ATF), JavaScript, and server-side scripts to automate data validation and calculation checks.
• Maintain test scripts with proper documentation to ensure reusability and ease of maintenance across different publishers.
• QA Process & Reporting
• Identify, log, track, and retest defects while maintaining test evidence, test cases, and execution documentation.
• Prepare QA sign-off reports for each release, covering test execution results, pass rates, defects identified, and fixes verified before UAT promotion.
• Support stakeholder reviews of SAM dashboards and incorporate feedback into validation activities before production deployment.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and estimation activities while identifying testing risks and communicating delivery concerns.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of overall software testing experience, including at least 2 years of hands-on QA experience on the ServiceNow platform.
• Working knowledge of ServiceNow Software Asset Management (SAM Professional), including software entitlements, license metrics, software models, reconciliation, and compliance.
• Hands-on experience with test automation, preferably using ServiceNow Automated Test Framework (ATF).
• Basic to intermediate JavaScript knowledge, with the ability to read and write server-side scripts and GlideRecord queries.
• Strong data validation and reconciliation skills, with the ability to verify data across ServiceNow tables, reports, and spreadsheets.
• Experience in preparing structured test cases, test execution reports, and QA sign-off documents.
• Working experience with Jira and test management tools such as Zephyr.
• Good communication skills, with the ability to explain test results, discuss defects, and present previous project experience to stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification.
• Certified Implementation Specialist – Software Asset Management (CIS-SAM) certification.
• Exposure to software licensing models across SaaS and enterprise publishers, including Named User, Subscription, Resource-Based, and Consumption-Based licensing.
• Experience testing REST API integrations and validating vendor software usage exports.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, Jira, and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools.
