Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced QA Engineer with strong expertise in validating lower-level software across mobile and embedded device platforms. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience testing operating system services, frameworks, middleware, device drivers, firmware interfaces, and hardware-software interactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute system-level test cases for device software, drivers, firmware interfaces, and platform components.
• Validate functionality, stability, reliability, performance, power, boot, recovery, and software upgrades.
• Analyze device logs, crash dumps, stack traces, kernel logs, and system traces to identify root causes.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across OS, framework, middleware, firmware, and hardware layers.
• Perform defect triage, regression testing, release qualification, and production issue investigation.
• Collaborate with development, firmware, hardware, and automation teams to resolve defects.
• Develop Python, Shell, or Bash scripts for log collection, diagnostics, and test automation.

Must-Have Skills

• Hands-on experience in device-side, embedded, or system software QA below the application layer.
• Strong debugging, log analysis, crash analysis, and root cause investigation skills.
• Knowledge of OS concepts, processes, threads, memory, IPC, file systems, boot flows, and system services.
• Experience testing frameworks, middleware, HAL, device drivers, firmware interfaces, kernel modules, connectivity, multimedia, power, sensors, or security subsystems.
• Experience creating test cases from technical requirements and architecture specifications.
• Working knowledge of Python, Shell, or Bash scripting.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with experience in mobile OEMs, consumer electronics, silicon, chipset, or embedded product validation environments such as Apple, Samsung, Google, Qualcomm, MediaTek, or similar organizations are preferred.
