Introduction

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Network Security Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Palo Alto Networks firewall and Cisco networking to complete a new firewall deployment across two sites.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience deploying and configuring Palo Alto Networks firewalls.
• Experience configuring standalone Palo Alto firewalls without Panorama.
• Strong Cisco networking experience, including routing, switching, VLANs, and network connectivity.
• Experience with firewall security policies, NAT, routing, and network segmentation.
• Ability to troubleshoot network connectivity and security issues.
• Experience with new firewall installations and enterprise network environments.
• Ability to work independently and deliver within a short-term project engagement.
• Prior work experience at client or in client's industry.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Palo Alto PCNSE or PCNSA certification.
• Experience with Palo Alto high-availability configurations.
• Experience deploying multiple firewalls across geographically separate sites.
• Experience with enterprise Cisco infrastructure.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Install and configure four new Palo Alto Networks firewalls across two sites.
• Individually configure each firewall through its local management interface (no Panorama).
• Configure security policies, firewall rules, NAT, routing, and network interfaces.
• Integrate the new firewalls with the existing Cisco networking infrastructure.
• Configure network connectivity and ensure proper communication between relevant environments.
• Perform testing, troubleshooting, and validation of all four deployments.
• Document configurations and provide a technical handover upon completion.
• Independently manage the project through to successful delivery.
