Cloud Infrastructure Architect

Join our Cloud & Infrastructure Delivery Architecture team and play a key role in shaping the future of our modular, cloud-native banking platform. You will be contribute to the design, development, and deployment of our Avaloq Banking Solution SaaS offering on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), ensuring scalability, reliability, and automation. The team acts as the primary architectural interface between clients, delivery execution, and central architecture functions, ensuring alignment between customer needs, execution feasibility, and architecture standards.

Your key tasks

• Develop end-to-end infrastructure and cloud solution designs for Avaloq SaaS on OCI
• Support Cloud Engineers and Developers ensuring solutions are deployable, scalable, and operationally sustainable
• Collaborate with internal teams and clients to deliver tailored cloud solutions aligned with strategic goals
• Provide expert-level support and guidance on cloud architecture and DevOps practices
• Contribute to cost optimization and implementation approaches
• Troubleshoot complex issues and drive continuous improvement in system performance and reliability
• Proven experience as a Cloud Architect or in a similar role
• Strong expertise in DevOps methodologies and Git-based project workflows
• Solid understanding of cloud-native architectures, including Oracle Kubernetes Engine (OKE), Oracle Exadata, Oracle RAC, container orchestration, and enterprise deployment strategies
• Proficiency with automation tools such as Terraform and Ansible is strongly preferred
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and abstraction skills
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities
• A proactive, team-oriented mindset with a passion for innovation

It would be a real bonus if you have

• Hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is essential; experience with other cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus
• OCI Certified Solution Architect preferred
• Knowledge of cloud governance, landing zones, multi-region architectures, business continuity, and cloud security best practices
• Additional certifications in AWS, Azure, or GCP are advantageous
• Experience with enterprise observability and monitoring solutions such as Grafana, Prometheus, ELK/OpenSearch, or Splunk
