The Network Engineer will lead the design, deployment, and evolution of Cantor International Services' global financial network across data centres, trading floors, and enterprise sites. You will own end‑to‑end project delivery, third‑party service turn‑ups, and serve as the senior technical escalation point for complex network incidents, while driving automation and innovative AI‑based solutions to improve operations.

  • Design and implement data‑centre and enterprise network solutions, including new builds, platform refreshes, and site migrations.
  • Deliver network projects end‑to‑end: design documentation, build, testing, cut‑over, and handover to operations.
  • Turn up and support third‑party services such as CDN, extranet, and VPN connections.
  • Lead routing and switching design on Juniper, Arista, and Cisco platforms (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, redistribution, filtering).
  • Design, build, and support EVPN/VXLAN fabrics on Arista EOS.
  • Act as senior escalation for complex incidents, conduct root‑cause analysis, and implement permanent fixes.
  • Develop network automation and tooling using Python, Ansible, and Git to eliminate manual processes.
  • Enhance monitoring and alerting (Grafana, Splunk, ServiceNow) and apply AI tools for proactive troubleshooting.
  • Maintain infrastructure hygiene through code upgrades, EOL hardware replacement, and regular network audits.
  • Mentor junior engineers, ensure accurate documentation, and coordinate hand‑overs across global regions.
  • Cisco CCNP Routing & Switching certification.
  • JNCIP‑Junos certification.
  • Wireless foundational certification (required).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong routing and switching design experience on Junos, Arista EOS, and Cisco IOS (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP).
  • Hands‑on EVPN/VXLAN design and implementation on Arista platforms.
  • Practical experience with Palo Alto firewalls and F5 load balancers.
  • Proficiency in scripting/automation (Python, Ansible) applied to network problems.
  • Proven ability to manage high‑pressure incident escalations and drive root‑cause resolutions.
  • Experience mentoring junior staff and producing clear technical documentation.
