Devops / Operations Consultant

Looking for Devops / Operations folks - primarily to do operations development - such as developing and setting up monitoring, streamlining processes, scripting various aspects of operations and the like.

Operations Role

Client's Operations role ensures the availability and uptime of Client's Cloud Service. The Operations department is in charge of how the product is delivered, deployed, managed and maintained.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Technical ownership of the Client Managed Cloud Service, including Service Health, Uptime, SLAs and others
• Provide Client Cloud Service with High Availability and Reliable Backup
• Deploy monitoring components for Client Cloud Service
• Augment and maintain DevOps automation pipeline for ongoing maintenance and patches
• Ensure Security of Cloud Service, including protection of all components of the Cloud Service and Security of Data in motion and at Rest
• Provide Metrics on Cloud Service on an ongoing basis and work with MSSP/MDR partners to ensure a high-quality Cloud Service

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Computer Science background mandatory)
• Expertise in Scripting, including Python and Unix Shell Scripting
• Experience with Cloud Infrastructure and Orchestration tools, such as Kubernetes, TerraForm, Cloud Formation, Chef/Puppet/Ansible
• Knowledge of Security Protocols and standards, including Network Security such as IDS/IPS/Firewall products
• Expertise in at least one of the popular cloud providers' (AWS, GCP, Azure or other) cloud deployments of solutions
• Expertise in Operating Systems, including Linux and Windows Servers

Working knowledge in meeting Security standards such as SOC II, FedRAMP, etc. is a plus
