【TW Life】Senior Manager, Digital & TM Engineering Dept.

• Lead and manage the Application Development team to ensure stable operations, maintenance, and continuous enhancement of business-critical applications.
• Drive application portfolio management and optimize resource allocation across systems, projects, and team members to improve overall productivity and service quality.
• Develop team capabilities through coaching, performance management, and technical mentorship, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Strengthen technical expertise and ownership across key business applications, covering over 20 core systems and multiple business modules.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and IT teams to identify opportunities for process optimization, system modernization, and service expansion.
• Manage the full application development lifecycle, including requirement analysis, solution design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Lead and oversee application-related projects, ensuring delivery within scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectations.
• Manage project priorities, resource planning, and task execution to meet business objectives.
• Manage external vendors and technology partners, including performance monitoring, service delivery, and contract governance.
• Ensure application availability, performance, security, and compliance with organizational standards.
• Evaluate and introduce new technologies, frameworks, and development practices to enhance system scalability, maintainability, and operational efficiency.
• Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related disciplines.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in application development, system implementation, or IT application support.
• At least 5 years of experience within the life insurance or financial services industry.
• Minimum 3 years of people management experience leading a team of 5 or more members.
• At least 2 years of project management experience managing cross-functional technology initiatives.
• Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, application architecture, and project management practices.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.

• Java and/or C# Development
• CI/CD Tools (Jenkins)
• Data Modeling, SQL, and ETL Development
• Container Technologies (Podman, Kubernetes)
• Application Architecture and Design Patterns
• System Integration and API Development
• Application Performance Tuning and Troubleshooting
