Database developer Smartstream TLM SME Senior Engineer

The Applications Development Senior Programmer Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for participation in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of Global Reconciliations technology initiatives and partner with business stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across technology, operations, and vendor organizations to achieve project objectives.
• Apply subject matter expertise in reconciliations and contribute to the design, development, and implementation of technology solutions.
• Demonstrate hands-on experience building and supporting Cash, Securities, Internal, and Inter-System Reconciliation solutions.
• Leverage knowledge of financial services and business processes to identify and implement effective technology solutions.
• Work with industry-standard reconciliation platforms including SmartStream TLM Premium/TLM Recs, Recon Frontier, and Intellimatch.
• Utilize strong technical skills in Oracle PL/SQL, MS SQL Server, Linux, and data analytics/reporting tools to support solution delivery and issue resolution.
• Participate in application support, production releases, and process improvement initiatives using tools such as JIRA, DevOps, AutoSys, and Microsoft Office.
• Contribute to project planning, requirements analysis, testing, implementation, and stakeholder communication activities.
• Operate within Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies and support continuous improvement practices.
• Demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.

Recommended Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant experience
• 3+ years’ experience in managing and implementing successful projects
• 3+ years’ experience with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL experience: analytical queries, stored procedures, packages, bulk-data processing, query tuning, and execution-plan analysis.
• 3+ year experience with Unix/Linux shell scripting experience: batch processing, file handling, scheduling, monitoring, logging, error handling, and recovery.
• Experience designing, configuring, testing, and optimizing TLM match rules across all applicable matching types.
• Prior experience with TLM WebConnect, TLM View, and TLM Control Process Designer, including custom control-process development.
• Strong knowledge of TLM backend tables, data structures, and end-to-end data tracing.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
