Sr. System Admin

Maintain, update, and secure servers databases and installed applications on servers at college

Expert-level desktop application support for faculty and staff Windows, Mac OS, & Linux platforms

Maintain file shares and computers connected to the college's network; Respond to IT help desk issues.

Work with faculty and staff to

Perform and maintain server backups

Maintain inventory control for IT assets in college

Install, upgrade, repair, and/or modify local area network file servers; configure and connect customers, printers, and other devices to network servers;

Monitor the assigned system and/or network to track operating efficiency and resolve potential problems before they occur

Qualifications Needed to Perform Job Effectively

• Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
• Basic understanding of audio processing and streaming software, hardware and applications preferred.
• Considerable PC and Mac desktop support experience
• Excellent customer service skills
• Experience in administering large and complex networks and supporting a wide range of customers.
• Experience in maintaining, updating, and securing servers; installing applications on servers
