Job Description

Our client is looking for a strong Sr. Cloud Engineer to assist with the design, build, implement, and operate foundational cloud platforms and infrastructure across Azure and/or AWS environments, including cloud architecture, networking, identity, security, compute, storage, and shared services. Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation solutions to provision and manage cloud environments. Own ongoing platform performance, reliability, scalability, security, and optimization while building and supporting container and orchestration platforms. Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues, implement secure hybrid cloud connectivity, and collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams on cloud adoption, modernization, and operational improvements.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience in infrastructure, platform, systems, or cloud engineering, including architecture responsibilities.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience designing, building, deploying, and operating Azure and/or AWS cloud environments.
• Demonstrated experience architecting and implementing foundational cloud infrastructure, not just deploying applications or workloads into an existing cloud platform.
• Strong understanding of cloud networking, identity and access management, security, compute, and storage services.
• Experience developing and maintaining Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation solutions.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud and infrastructure issues.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Relevant cloud certifications (Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Solutions Architect, or equivalent).

Desired / Bonus Skills

• Experience building and operating enterprise-scale cloud platforms and shared infrastructure services.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, or other container orchestration platforms.
• Experience with hybrid cloud environments and integration with on-premises infrastructure.
• Experience supporting data-intensive workloads, analytics platforms, or large-scale compute environments.
• Familiarity with cloud governance, compliance, security frameworks, and operational best practices.
• Strong scripting and automation experience.
• Ability to lead technical discussions, influence architecture decisions, and work effectively across infrastructure and engineering teams.
