Job Description

Our Client is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join its team. With a startup spirit and 110,000+ curious and courageous minds, Genpact brings expertise to work with the world's biggest brands.

This position will handle escalated incidents, perform root cause analysis of problems arising from incident reports (IRs), and address proactive business requirements. The selected candidate must be flexible to work in a 24×7 environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and transition firewalls, switches, access points, and other network solutions to meet customer requirements.
• Troubleshoot LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, routing, switching, VPN, firewall, and VoIP equipment, including a broad range of devices, predominantly Fortinet.
• Develop and maintain technical deliverables, including network assessments, capacity planning, detailed design documents, implementation/test plans, configuration templates, and scripts.
• Perform root cause analysis of critical outages and incidents.
• Maintain up-to-date industry certifications.
• Understand business requirements and design solutions accordingly.
• Resolve incidents and escalate issues to management and vendors when necessary.
• Perform root cause analysis for P1/P2/P3 and P4 incidents and proactively address business needs.
• Work with Web-Proxy environments such as Zscaler and McAfee Web Proxy.
• Ensure service performance expectations are met in accordance with service levels and quality standards.
• Raise and escalate service-related issues and risks to management.
• Provide guidance and support to team members.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Professional Expert-level certification in Fortinet FCSS, Fortinet FCP, or Fortinet NSE-4 to NSE-8.
• Strong understanding of routing protocols and network technologies, including eBGP, iBGP, OSPF, IPSEC, Traceroute, and NetFlow.
• Advanced, hands-on experience with Fortinet products, including FortiGate, FortiManager, Fortinet Secure SD-WAN, and FortiAnalyzer.
• Experience with network switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
• Professional or Expert-level network certification is required.
• Extensive experience designing, configuring, and managing enterprise-grade firewall solutions, with proficiency in network security architectures.
• Understanding of routing protocols and network technologies, including eBGP, iBGP, OSPF, IPSEC, Traceroute, and NetFlow.
• Expertise in LAN/WAN administration, including configuring DHCP, DNS, VLANs, NAT, wireless technologies, and switches, with strong proficiency in network security integration.
• Expertise in network engineering and security firewall architecture.
• Ability to author and adhere to defined network processes and procedures.
• Ability to produce accurate network diagrams and detailed design documentation for implementation.
• Expertise in architecting, designing, and troubleshooting complex LAN/WAN network solutions.
• Experience designing and deploying multi-site network environments with VLANs, MPLS, SSL, and IPSEC.
• Up-to-date knowledge of modern security threats and defenses, integrating security into network designs.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a broader team.
• Ability to communicate detailed technical concepts clearly in oral and written formats.
• Proven experience guiding clients through the evaluation and selection of technical solutions to address business requirements in a consultative manner.
