This position requires candidates that have recent hands-on experience in ALL aspects of SQL DBA Administration.

Primary Responsibilities

Installing and upgrading SQL Servers, including applying service packs, cumulave updates

Performing roune database maintenance

• Knowledge of SQL Server Agent and jobs
• Monitoring error logs and event logs for database errors and warnings

• SQL Server Profiler
• Index Tuning Advisor
• SQL Server Configuraon Manager

• Performance Monitor

• SQL Server System Databases knowledge
• SQL Server Health Checks and Policies

Managing SQL Server security and auding

• User security
• Authencaon methods
• SQL Server and database auding
• Encrypon at rest, transit, and backup

Capacity Planning for storage and database objects

• Maintaining and managing SQL Server disk storage and experience with AWS storage systems to ensure storage is properly ulized
• Managing disk storage for Windows Failover Cluster Service (WFCS)

Database backup and recovery

• Establishing standards and schedules for database backups
• Developing recovery procedures to meet RPO and RTO
• Restoring databases with point in me recovery

Creang and tesng Disaster Recovery plans

Proficient in TSQL coding, tuning, and ETL methodologies

SQL Server High Availability Methods

• Experience with VLDB
• Experience monitoring, supporng, troubleshoong high intense systems with both online transacons and batch transacons
• Always On and AWS HA Zones
• Required: 3 Years Windows Server Administration experience:
• Building and maintaining Windows Servers and EC2 Instances
• Installing and managing end point protecon
• Applicaon Server, Web Server, File Server, and FTP Server configuraon and maintenance
• Ulizing PowerShell for administraon tasks
• Windows Failover Cluster configuraon and maintenance
• Windows Server Roles and Features
• .NET Framework Components

Preferred Skills

• Experience with FAST GenTax/DS-VS architecture and applicaon maintenance
• Familiarity with industry security standards (PUB1075, FIPS, and PII)
• Cloud compung knowledge
• Cloud storage, backup, and restore mechanisms
• Firewall administraon and maintenance
• Acve Directory knowledge (GPO, FQDN, DNS Server, SPN)
• Email, SMTP, and Proxy Server troubleshoong
• Web Services development and support
• Availability to provide 24 hour support
• Strong communicaon skills, both oral and wriCen
