About the role

Baton is building an AI-powered marketplace for buying and selling small businesses. We are looking for a Software Engineer to help us scale our platform and improve the experience for buyers and sellers.

What you'll do

• Build and maintain full-stack features for our marketplace
• Work with AI/ML teams to integrate intelligent matching and valuation
• Design and implement scalable APIs and services
• Collaborate with product, design and data teams
• Write clean, tested, maintainable code

What we're looking for

Essential

• 3+ years of software engineering experience
• Strong proficiency in a modern language (Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Go)
• Experience with web frameworks and databases
• Open to visa sponsorship (green card, citizen, or visa holders all work)

Nice to have

• Marketplace or fintech experience
• AI/ML integration experience
