Senior Swiss and Lathe Programmer

Job Description

• Program and setup Swiss screw machines and lathes.
• Setup and optimize programs from other programmers
• Design and make fixtures and tooling for CNC Swiss and lathe operation.
• Develop manufacturing documentation (setup instructions, in-process measurement drawings and process control measurement charts, and work-piece loading and unloading instructions).
• Perform in-process inspections.
• Improve manufacturing process to reduce cycle-time and setup time, and improve repeatability and finish on milled and turned parts.

Qualifications

• CNC programming using Part Maker (or similar CAM software) and CAD modeling using SolidWorks would be ideal.
• Mechanical fabrication skills including drilling, turning, and milling.
• Knowledge of precision machining requirements for Aerospace, Medical and Semiconductor industries preferred.
• Experience working with Fanuc controllers.
• Excellent communication skills
