Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Backend/API Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust REST APIs and microservices that meet the needs of our banking domain applications. This role requires a strong understanding of API management, security protocols, and integration patterns to ensure seamless connectivity and data exchange across systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement RESTful APIs and microservices using Java/Spring Boot or Python.
• Utilize OpenAPI/Swagger for API documentation and design specifications.
• Ensure API security through OAuth and OIDC protocols, implementing best practices for data protection.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Implement integration patterns to facilitate communication between various systems and services.
• Conduct thorough testing of APIs and microservices to ensure functionality, performance, and security.
• Monitor and Eligible to workimize API performance, troubleshooting issues as they arise.
• Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies related to backend development and API management.

Mandatory Skills

• Proficiency in REST API development.
• Strong experience with OpenAPI/Swagger for API documentation.
• Expertise in microservices architecture.
• Solid programming skills in Java/Spring Boot or Python.
• In-depth knowledge of API security practices, including OAuth and OIDC.
• Familiarity with integration patterns and techniques.
• Experience with testing frameworks and methodologies for APIs.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in the banking or financial services domain.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and their API management services.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools for APIs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications in API management or backend development are a plus.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
