Job Description – Ansible Automation Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, upgrade, administer, and support Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) and Ansible Tower environments.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance Ansible Playbooks, Roles, Collections, Modules, and Workflows.
• Handle end-to-end automation delivery, including requirement gathering, solution design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Build and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
• Develop reusable automation frameworks to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual efforts.
• Integrate Ansible with enterprise tools, ITSM platforms, cloud services, and third-party solutions using REST APIs.
• Analyse, troubleshoot, and resolve complex infrastructure and automation-related issues.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure, Storage, Wintel, Linux, Backup, VMware, and Nutanix teams to identify and implement automation opportunities.
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and automation governance activities.
• Mentor junior team members and establish automation best practices.
• Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and operational runbooks.
