Appian Lead Product Engineer(Need Architect Level Profiles)

6+ Months of Contract with Possible extension/Full Time

Tampa, FL

Serve as the technical owner of the Appian platform - including environment strategy, configuration, performance, and stability.
Plan and execute Appian upgrades, patches, capacity scaling, and environment refreshes.
Define and enforce architecture standards, best practices, design patterns, and governance for Appian implementations.
Collaborate with business, delivery teams, infrastructure, information security, and external vendors to ensure reliable and compliant platform operations.
Review solution designs and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, security, and performance requirements.
Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for high priority incidents.
Support DevOps/CI-CD pipelines for Appian deployments and promote modern automation practices.
Maintain platform documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures.

8+ years of hands-on Appian experience, including architecture and environment management.
Strong understanding of Appian components: Records, Data Fabric/CDTs, SAIL, process models, integrations, plug-ins, RPA.
Proven experience with upgrades, performance tuning, and environment configuration (Appian Cloud and self managed).
Solid knowledge of integration patterns (REST/SOAP, queues, JDBC).
Experience working with security teams on SSO, SAML/OIDC, RBAC, and platform hardening.
Experience with identity and access management and platform security.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
