DevOps Engineer – Infrastructure

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled DevOps Engineer with deep expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and hands-on experience with a wide range of AWS services. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, provisioning, and maintaining cloud infrastructure for both new application domains and existing environments, with a strong focus on automation, scalability and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Terraform modules for reusable infrastructure components.
• Manage Terraform variable files (TFVars) for environment & account level-specific configurations.
• Handle Terraform state files securely and efficiently using remote backends (e.g., S3 with state locking via DynamoDB).
• Implement infrastructure enhancements and refactoring to improve performance, scalability and maintainability.

Provision and manage AWS services including

o Lambda Functions [event-driven compute]

o S3 Buckets [object storage and static hosting]

o EKS [Kubernetes orchestration]

o ECS [Container management]

o API Gateway [REST APIs]

o CloudFront [CDN and edge caching]

o VPC Networking [subnets, route tables, NAT gateways, security groups]

• Support CI/CD pipelines and integrate infrastructure provisioning into deployment workflows.
• Collaborate with application teams to onboard new domains and manage infrastructure for existing applications.
• Monitor infrastructure health and performance using AWS-native and third-party tools.
• Maintain documentation for infrastructure architecture, processes and standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in DevOps Engineer.

Strong hands-on experience with Terraform, including

o Writing and organizing Terraform modules

o Managing TFVars and environment-specific configurations

o Handling Terraform state with remote backends

o Performing plan, apply, destroy operations safely

• Deep understanding of AWS services and architecture best practices.
• Experience with serverless architectures (Lambda, API Gateway).
• Solid grasp of networking concepts in AWS (VPC, subnets, routing, NAT, security groups).
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
• Experience managing multi-environment deployments (dev, staging, prod).
• Strong scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python) for automation and tooling.
• Excellent troubleshooting, documentation and communication skills.
