Senior CAD Administrator

Eleven Recruiting is supporting a high-growth aerospace manufacturer located ONSITE in Long Beach, CA in the search for a Senior CAD Administrator to take ownership of their Siemens NX and Teamcenter environment—the critical backbone for engineering design, simulation, and release workflows.

In this role, you won't just manage CAD/PLM tools—you'll empower engineering teams to design and build complex aerospace systems at scale. You'll architect scalable solutions, support advanced design and simulation workflows, and ensure the system evolves alongside the organization's mission and manufacturing output. You'll act as both a technical leader and a systems problem-solver, enabling faster, smarter product development.

This is a highly cross-functional role with direct visibility into engineering, simulation, manufacturing, and IT infrastructure. Responsibilities

• Administer and manage Siemens NX and Teamcenter platforms, including configuration, upgrades, user support, and documentation.
• Own and continuously improve critical engineering workflows including ECOs, drawing releases, standard part libraries, mechanical routing (tubing/piping), and simulation data management.
• Act as the primary point of contact for all CAD/PLM support across engineering—resolving tickets via Slack/Service Desk and collaborating with internal teams.
• Configure and deploy NX templates, part families, preferences, and user environments to support design consistency and speed.
• Support and maintain integrations with tools like Cadenas PARTsolutions, Simcenter STAR-CCM+, FEMAP with NX NASTRAN, and HEEDS.
• Drive training initiatives, documentation, and best practice standards across the engineering toolchain.
• Manage both NX Rich Client and Active Workspace Client (AWC) environments in a 4-tier Teamcenter setup.
• Partner with engineering and IT leadership to define future-state CAD/PLM architecture and process improvements.

Qualifications

Required

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Siemens NX and Teamcenter administration.
• In-depth understanding of NX configurations, part families, and standard parts library management.
• Experience managing and supporting Teamcenter workflows and engineering release processes.
• Strong troubleshooting ability across integrated CAD/PLM environments and large user bases.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Preferred

• Experience with engineering simulation tools: Simcenter 3D, STAR-CCM+, HEEDS, FEMAP, or ANSYS.
• Exposure to Cadenas PARTsolutions or equivalent mechanical routing support tools.
• Programming or scripting experience in NX Open, Python, Visual Basic, or C++.
• Familiarity with other MCAD systems such as SolidWorks, Creo, or AutoCAD Inventor.
