Web Services Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Web Services Engineer with strong technical expertise across web and middleware platforms. The candidate should have hands-on experience working across Linux/Unix and Windows environments, strong troubleshooting capabilities, and scripting knowledge in Perl and Python.

Key Responsibilities

• Support, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise web and middleware platforms.
• Work across Apache, Tomcat, Lightstreamer, IIS, Windeploy, Akamai, and WebSphere environments.
• Perform technical troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for application and platform-related issues.
• Support Linux/Unix and Windows-based environments.
• Use Perl and Python for scripting and automation.
• Work across multiple technologies and provide support for complex production/platform issues.
• Contribute to automation and operational improvements where applicable.

Mandatory Skills

• Strong experience with Linux/Unix and Windows.
• Good hands-on experience with web and middleware technologies, particularly:
• Apache
• Tomcat
• Lightstreamer
• IIS
• Windeploy
• Akamai
• WebSphere
• Working knowledge of Perl and Python scripting.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Broad technical knowledge across the listed web services/platform technologies.

Preferred Skills

For senior/advanced candidates, preference will be given to profiles with:

• SRE / DevOps experience.
• CI/CD and pipeline automation experience.
• Kubernetes exposure.
• Experience with modern monitoring and observability practices/tools.
• Strong automation mindset and experience improving operational processes.

Ideal Candidate

A technically strong Web Services professional who can work across multiple web and middleware technologies, troubleshoot complex issues independently, and support both Linux/Unix and Windows environments. Candidates with additional exposure to SRE, DevOps, Kubernetes, pipeline automation, and observability will be preferred.
