Senior Software Engineer at Fusion Health. We’ll keep it in your applied jobs, so you can see it later and be warned before applying to the same employer twice.

Fusion Health is seeking a bright, motivated, and collaborative Senior Software Engineer to join our Application Development team. In this role, you will work on meaningful, high-impact projects that support our mission to deliver technology solutions for underserved, movement-restricted populations. We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, inclusive team environment, communicates clearly, and takes pride in building software that truly matters.

About Fusion Health

Most healthcare software is built for the easy cases. Fusion Health builds for the rest.

We support clinicians working in movement restricted communities, where care delivery is more complex and software reliability is critical. In these environments, systems need to work consistently because there is no room for failure. This has been our focus since 2006.

That is not an accident. It is who we hire.

Bryan Jakovcic(EY Entrepreneur of the Year) built this company and still personally interviews every single person who joins it. Because the people here are not a department or a headcount. They are the company. Fusion has been recognized by INC as one of the fastest-growing private companies in the United States for four consecutive years, including #8 in New Jersey and #38 in the NY Tri-State area, and by Deloitte on its Fast 500 list of fastest-growing technology companies in the United States. We are also proud to be certified as a Great Place to Work by Fortune!. That growth and recognition happened because the right people showed up and did something with it.

We are driven, self aware, and we own what we do. That is the culture. No more, no less.

If this is the kind of work you've been looking for, this is where you do the best work of your career.

What we offer

  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • 401K
  • Generous PTO

Our teams are based in Woodbridge, NJ and Topeka, KS. We operate in a hybrid environment.

What You'll Do

  • Architect, build and maintain full-stack software solutions (frontend, backend, database)
  • Write clean, testable code following well-defined processes
  • Participate in design discussions and own module components
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and improve existing codebases
  • Develop and maintain automated test suites (integration, regression, performance)
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, developers and QA to deliver robust solutions
  • Produce relevant documentation throughout the SDLC
  • Keep up with emerging technologies and best practices
  • Support proof-of-concept development and evaluate new tools or frameworks
  • Mentor junior engineers and guide team practices
  • Manage your project priorities, deadlines and deliverables

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming principles
  • 5–8+ years of experience with modern front-end frameworks (Angular/AngularJS or equivalent), HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and .NET Core
  • Proven full-stack development expertise, including building and consuming RESTful Web APIs (ASP.NET Core preferred)
  • Solid experience with SQL (SQL Server preferred)
  • Hands-on proficiency with GitLab and CI/CD pipelines, including tools such as Jenkins, Octopus, and Ansible
  • Familiarity with XML, JSON, and Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities
