AEM Developer

Genesis10 is currently seeking an AEM Developer for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC or Pennington, NJ. This is a 12 month contract opportunity.

In this role, you will develop features in AEM applications based on user stories and technical designs. You will contribute to defining technical approaches, ensuring functional designs are feasible and scalable, and participate in requirements gathering and analysis. The position involves creating AEM components, page templates, and server-side elements while collaborating with architects to build high-quality, scalable AEM solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop features in AEM applications based on user stories and technical designs
• Help to define technical approaches and ensure that functional designs are feasible and scalable
• Contribute to requirements gathering and analysis activities such as storyboarding, developing user stories, and creating functional requirements
• Create AEM components and page templates, combining backend Java, HTML/CSS, and frontend JavaScript frameworks technologies
• Work with architects to ensure that scalable AEM solutions are created
• Help assign, review, and unblock development tasks to maximize delivery velocity
• Create server-side Servlets, Sling Models, OSGi configs, etc. to support web interfaces
• Support the account lead and project manager in key meetings as the technical SME
• Own and support feature-focused unit and system testing, including features built by other developers on the team, to ensure each project delivers a high-quality application
• Support performance, security, and load testing activities, including remediation

Requirements

• 5 years' experience in AEM
• Hands-on experience programming in Web Technologies like JSP, JavaScript, XML, XPATH, AJAX, JQuery, Adobe APIs, Apache Sling, OSGi bundles, Apache Web Server
• Deep understanding of Java, Java EE, Servlets, HTL/Sightly skills, combined with a strong understanding of enterprise Java frameworks such as Spring
• Experience in end-to-end implementations of AEM or later, AEM as a cloud service experience preferred
• 5 years of architecting and implementing Adobe solutions
• Experience defining component structures, path management, Vanity URLs, Asset, Dynamic Media and Tag management
• Solid understanding of UX and web components
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies (Agile, SCRUM)

Desired skills

• Experience with front-end development
• Experience with AI tools (i.e. CoPilot)

Pay range: $55.06 - $63.06 per hour
