Senior Data Analyst

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Data Analyst for a contract position with a Major Financial Institution located in McLean, VA. This is a 5+ month contract opportunity.

This role will focus on improving the client's data ecosystem and establishing new datasets. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with SQL and Python, data modeling, and optimizing data pipelines for quality and performance, while adhering to enterprise data management practices.

Responsibilities

• Improve the data ecosystem and help stand up new datasets
• Consolidate and simplify existing scripts and pipelines to improve reusability, data quality, and performance
• Adhere to enterprise data management practices, including designing preventative and detective data quality checks
• Use Git or similar tools for managing code, scripts, and collaborative pipeline development

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with SQL and Python
• Data modeling experience, particularly with relational databases
• Strong communication skills, especially when communicating problems identified during the course of the work

Desired skills

• 5+ years of experience in Databricks, OneLake, and OneStream
• Strong domain knowledge to translate business context into data insights and support data governance standards
• Demonstrated ability to deal with disparate and occasionally ambiguous data sources

Pay range

$44.93 - $52.93 per hour
