This role will be part of Global Payments Software & Services entity in Croatia.

What you’ll own

• Develop and maintain front end and back end application features, delivering high quality code in partnership with business and technology teams.
• Create and enhance software solutions by designing, coding, and supporting program specifications for projects and production issues.
• Analyze, test, and validate code changes, ensuring reliable application performance and accurate technical documentation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application defects, implementing corrective actions and escalating alternative solutions when needed.
• Apply development best practices, methodologies, and security standards, including PCI compliance requirements, to deliver secure and scalable solutions.

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or a related technical field.
• 4+ years of experience in software development, including coding, application design, and data analysis.
• Experience working with modern programming languages, APIs, external services, and both relational and NoSQL databases.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to test, troubleshoot, and optimize software solutions.
• A collaborative mindset and the ability to contribute across the software development lifecycle, from design and development through testing and support.
• Additional experience in enterprise software development environments and development lifecycle tools is a plus.

It’s a bonus if you have

• Cloud Technologies – Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, Harness.
• Database Technologies – Database design and development, including familiarity with DDL and DML for one or more of the following databases: PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, DB2.
• Back-end Technologies – C, Java, Perl, Python, .NET, Mainframe COBOL, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Apache Kafka, microservices architecture.
• Front-end Technologies – HTML5, JavaScript, React.js, Vue.js.
• Web Frameworks & Platforms – Node.js, React.js, Vue.js, Angular.
• Development Tools – Visual Studio Code, IntelliJ IDEA, Eclipse, Visual Studio, GitHub, Maven.
• Linux distributions including one or more for the following: Red Hat/Rocky/CentOS, Ubuntu, Amazon Linux
• IBM AIX
